Kate Sutton, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 7 years’ experience in psychotherapy. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I have experience working with individuals, couples and groups focusing on issues like depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, and grief. I assist clients in learning about their moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviors and how to better respond to life's challenges. I am devoted to the exploration of client’s actions for the purpose of problem solving and achieving higher levels of functioning for those struggling with problematic behaviors/emotions. I employ a range of techniques based on experiential relationship building, dialogue, communication and behavior change that are designed to improve client’s overall well-being. You deserve to live a life that leaves you excited to wake up every morning.
I also have a Master’s in Human Sexuality and specialize in sex offender treatment/evaluation, forensic psychology, and sexual abuse. I am committed to enhancing community safety, reducing sexual recidivism, protecting victims and vulnerable populations, transforming the lives of those caught in the web of sexual violence, and illuminating paths to prevent sexual abuse. I have experience in domestic violence, anger management and managing impulsivity.
Life is too short - I want you to be free of emotional pain, able to deal with life on life's terms, and to find meaning/purpose in work, family, friendships, spirituality, and all other life areas. Calling a therapist can be intimidating, but I hope you will take a moment (& maybe a deep breath) to call and see how I can help.
